Mission

 The Cardiovascular Imaging and Clinical Research Core Laboratory (CIRCL) facilitates and promotes the performance of cardiovascular clinical research at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University.  A resource facility composed of physicians, research nurses and scientists, and available to all investigators, the CIRCL is dedicated to:

• Conducting and facilitating the performance of cardiovascular research by providing a single site for patient testing and data collection

• Mentoring new investigators interested in clinical cardiovascular research

• Providing a large database of cardiovascular information that can be used by investigators to directly compare and correlate results of cardiovascular testing with established clinical parameters

• Conducting epidemiologic studies, outcomes research and cost-effective analyses in cardiovascular medicine
